Webster Police seek identity of robbery suspect

On January 1, 2012 at approximately 11:07 a.m. New Year’s day Webster Police Officers were dispatched to the Webster Sunoco Gas Station at 74 E. Main St. for a reported robbery that had just occurred. Sgt. Thomas Ralph and Officers Patrick Perry, Michael Lee, and Aaron Suss responded. Upon their arrival, it was determined that the suspect entered the store, approached the clerk, and presented a note demanding money. The clerk complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect then fled from the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. Officer Suss and his K-9 Red were able to perform a track of the suspect in the area to no avail. The suspect remains at large.

The suspect in this case is described as a white male in his mid to late 30’s, approximately 5’ 9" tall, weighing approximately 140 lbs., having a medium build and being unshaven. During the robbery, he was seen wearing brown work-type pants, brown work-type boots, a blue New England Patriots hooded sweatshirt, and dark sunglasses.
