Delivery man attacked in Webster; arrest made
WEBSTER - On January 1, 2012 Officers from the Webster Police Department made an arrest in the assault and robbery of an elderly Chinese Food Delivery Man on December 28, 2011. On December 28, 2011, Officers were called to Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard to investigate the incident. Officers learned that the assault and robbery had occurred at 22 Village Way Apartment #2 in the North Village Apartment Complex in Webster. Officers responded to that address where, despite resident’s unwillingness to cooperate with the investigation, information and evidence was eventually gathered and a suspect was identified.
Through the investigation Officers were able to identify Christopher Thomas 24 years-old of 256 N. Main St., Webster as the suspect in the case. On January 2, 2012 Webster Police received reports that the suspect had been seen in the area of the North Village Apartment Complex. Officers responded to the area. Upon their arrival in the area, Officers were able to locate and arrest Christopher Thomas. Thomas has been charged with Assault and Battery upon an Elderly person and Unarmed Robbery stemming from the incident on December 28, 2011. Officers Joshua Collins, Donald Southall, James Young, Jr., Aaron Suss, Robert Larochelle, and Detective Gordon Wentworth assisted in the investigation.
