Police seek help from public, Dudley break-in and assault

On Thursday, December 14, 2012 at approximately 7:00 pm, The Dudley Police Department received a 911 Call for assistance at a first floor apartment at 42 Oxford Avenue. It was reported a male resident had suffered some serious injuries at that location. Dudley Police Officers as well as Dudley Fire and EMS Personnel responded. Upon arrival, officers met a 45 year old male resident who had suffered an apparent head injury. Also present was a 45 year old female, who is the male victim’s girlfriend. She had suffered a leg injury. The female victim reported four men wearing masks had entered the apartment a short time earlier and assaulted both parties. She informed officers the suspects were in the apartment for only a short period of time and left in an unknown direction. Both victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment and their names are being withheld at this time as the investigation continues. Potential motives are also under investigation.
Limited descriptions of the suspects or possible vehicles were provided. Anyone with information that may be of assistance is asked to contact the Dudley Police Department at 508-943-4411. Sgt. James Hutchinson as well as Officers Chandler Boyd and Philip Megas are investigating. Assistance was also provided by the Webster Police Department and The Webster EMS Personnel.
