Eva T. Barre, 98

DUDLEY – Eva T. (Balta) Barre, 98, died Monday, September 10, 2012 in Beaumont Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Westborough with her family at her side. Her husband of 56 years, Athanase O. Barre, died in 1991.

She leaves a daughter, Carol A. Faron and her husband Robert A. Faron of Sutton; 3 grandchildren, Mark A. Faron and his wife Lisa of Hopedale, and Matthew J. Faron and Kathleen M. Faron, both of Sutton; a great granddaughter Avery Faron; a sister, Alice Brossman of Auburn; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Balta, Jr. and by 3 sisters, Sr. Mary Martha, Anna Duquette and Josephine Kasik.

She was born in Dudley, the daughter of Stephen Balta, Sr. and Susan (Bachochin) Balta and was a lifelong resident.

Mrs. Barre was a winder in the put-up department at Cranston Print Works Company in Webster for many years before she retired in 1979. She was a member of Saint Anthony of Padua Church.

The funeral will be held Saturday, September 15, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main St., Webster, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Anthony of Padua Church, 24 Dudley Hill Road. Burial will be in Saint Anthony’s Cemetery, Webster. A calling period will be from 8:15 to 9:15 AM Saturday, September 15, in the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, 17 East Main St., Webster, MA 01570.
