DUDLEY- Henry A. “Butch” Zajac, Jr., 74,  died Saturday, October 13,2012  at R.I . Hospital after being stricken ill in Providence . His wife of 43 years, Irene(Morrison) Zajac died in 2010

He leaves a Step Son, Michael Smith  and his wife Arleen of Dudley.

Grandchildren, Sabrina Gauvin  and her husband Peter of Dudley,  Nicholas Smith and his wife Julie of Webster . His beloved great granddaughter, Gabriella Smith .  Several nieces , nephews  and cousins . Predeceased by sister, Alice Zajac

He was born in Southbridge  MA, the son of the late Henry A Zajac Sr. and Alice (Chadwick).He worked as a Supervisor at Mass Highway retiring in  1996. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army during peacetime .Henry loved his family and adored his grandchildren . Butch was a devoted New England Patriots ,Red Sox and Celtics fan . He followed the New York Yankees too.

Funeral services will be held Thursday Oct. 18  at 9 AM from  Bartel Funeral Home & Chapel, 33 Schofield Ave., Dudley with a Mass at 10 AM in St. Anthony of Padua Church 24 Dudley Hill Rd. Dudley Calling hours at the funeral home will be on Wednesday Oct. 17 from 5 to 8 PM.

After cremation burial will be private in Corbin Cemetery  with his beloved wife Irene.
