Jason “Jay” Nixon, 39, died unexpectedly October 14, 2012 in Naples,FL.

His wife, Tamara (Leathco) Nixon predeceased him in April 2001. He is survived by his son, Jadon Nixon of Naples, FL, his step-daughter Samantha Leathco of Naples, FL, his father, George Nixon Jr of Ocala, FL, his mother Janice (Lucewich) Albaugh of Prague, OK, his grandmother Helen Lucewich of Boca Raton, FL, his sister Tracy Nixon of Denver, CO, his sister Katelyn Nixon of Winter Haven, FL and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Webster, MA and raised in Dudley, MA. He was a graduate of Shepherd Hill Regional High School class of 1991. He lived in Florida as well as Colorado.

He loved being involved in his son’s sports. Loved country music and was a true “redneck”. He was an avid fan of the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins.

Funeral services were held at Muller-Thompson Funeral Chapel, 2011 Pine Ridge Rd., Naples, FL 34109.

After cremation, by the wishes of his son, his ashes will be scattered in the Everglades where his wife’s previously were.
