Thompson, CT – Raymond Petrunia, 82, of North Grosvenordale died Saturday, December 08, 2012 in Matulaitis Nursing Home, Putnam.

He leaves a daughter, Karen M. and her husband Girard Dennis of Thompson; a grandson Timothy M. Petrunia of Webster, MA; a great grandson, Bryce Petrunia of Charlton, MA.  He was preceded in death by his 2 sons Raymond J. Petrunia and Steven P. Petrunia and by his grandson Christopher P. Petrunia.

He was born in West Hartford.  He was a certified welder with Cottons Steel in Worcester, MA.

Mr. Petrunia was a Navy veteran of the Korean War.  He enjoyed boating and fishing.

There are no services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster, MA. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 1 Bulfinch Place #201 Boston, MA 02114.
