Rose C. Patterson, 96
WEBSTER - Rose C. (Triba) Patterson, 96, of Webster, passed away July 4, 2012 at UMass Hospital in Worcester. Rose was the wife of the late James Patterson who died in 1961.
She is survived by a son, James and his wife Sally, of Webster; a daughter, Jane Frink of Dudley; five grandchildren: James and wife Rebecca of Webster, Raymond and wife Lori of Webster, Joseph and fiancé Jamie of Webster, Jessica Ciuchta and husband Christopher of Webster, and Amy Vincent and husband Jay of Killingly, Ct.; and five great grandchildren, Alycia, James, Joshua, Bryce, and Jocelyn Patterson. She also leaves a good friend and neighbor, Vivian Smith.
Rose was the daughter of Jacob and Rozalia (Nowacki) Triba and was predeceased by twelve siblings. She was born in the home her father built on Harvard Street and lived there all her life.
She had worked at Stevens Linen in her younger years. Rose was known for her strong opinions and always spoke her mind.
She was a good listener and always gave her complete support to her children and grandchildren. She loved working in her garden and eating her blueberries. She enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the company of neighbors and friends and watching the birds. She also loved a good poker game and spent many sleepless nights playing for pennies with her sisters. She was a very colorful, thoughtful, caring person and left wonderful memories for her family to cherish. She will live on in our hearts forever.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides from the VNA and Tri Valley for all their help in caring for Rose in her later years.
Following her wishes, Rose will be cremated and a private service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Dudley.
