Thomas G. Pollett, 74
NORTH OXFORD – Thomas G. Pollett, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at UMass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus, with his family by his side.
He is survived by his wife and best friend of 27 years, Ann M. (LaBrake) Pollett of North Oxford; four children, Thomas G. Pollett Jr. and his wife Patricia of Dudley, Michael A. Pollett of Worcester, Laurie A. Zaleski and her husband John of Dudley, and Michelle E. Verdolino and her husband Marc of Charlton; his first wife, Elaine J. Mullins and her husband James of Auburn; two brothers, Gerald Pollett of Webster and George Pollett Jr. of West Brookfield; nine grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by five sisters and two brothers. He was born Webster, the son of the late George and Mary (Schmitt) Pollett, and lived in Auburn and Webster before moving to Oxford in 1986. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Mr. Pollett was a construction supervisor for the Local 243 Union in Auburn for many years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed sports, gardening, his tractors, playing the lottery, going to Foxwoods, hunting, and fishing. The family would like to thank their neighbors, especially John and Debbie Hendrickson, for their help in caring for him the past few years.
