Women's Recognition Night 2009
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the 2009 Woman of the Year, Marilyn Travinski. Marilyn is the Executive Director of Tri Valley, Inc. and has served at the agency since 1992. Every woman attending received a delightful gift bag full of a variety of useful items. Also, throughout the evening, Patriot publisher Paula Berthiaume kept the audience on pins and needles with numerous raffles held in between award. Dozens of lucky winners went home with delightful prizes. The delicious meal was prepared by the newest addition to Indian Ranch, Tiny Tim’s Catering served family style and a feast fit for a queen. The dessert tray was certainly wonderful accent to finish off the meal. Guest speakers were successful women in the business world. Alison Raffaele Tatem created her own line of makeup that is now used by celebrities and Arlene M. Pedjoe who has owned and operated the John Robert Powers School of modeling, acting, singing and dance for twenty five years. The 2009 award recipients include: Jane Bania, recipient of the Millie Henshall Award; Sarah White, recipient of the Humanitarian Award; Elaine Nowosadko, recipient of the Margaret Bibeau award; Beth Esposito, recipient of the Community Star Award; Jill Goretti, recipient of the Stasia Czernicki Athletic Award; Alycia Patterson, recipient of the Jacqueline Puliafico Arts/Education Award; Dr. Kathy Finn, recipient of the Woman of courage award; Koren Adams, recipient of the Wendy Stawiecki Mother of the Year Award; Kerri Murphy, recipient of the Business Excellence Award; Holly Augusto and Wendy Kocur, recipients of the Business Women of the Year award. Congratulations to all these outstanding women, and there will be more in store for 2010.
